"They prepare a film, the first which will be shot entirely in Cuenca.
Cuenca, 15 dic (EFE) .- A team of teachers and students of the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cuenca and affiliated professionals with this university are preparing a film that will be shot in the city of Cuenca in the summer and will be the first feature shot entirely in the city.
The film, which is called “Nobody´s rose” will be shot in August and September next 2010 and it has professional actors and new actors aged between 15 and 20 years old. They come out of an audition is being done in Cuenca, as it was explained at a press conference by the director and scriptwriter of the film, Ignacio Oliva.
Currently the team is working on locations, but it is an indoors film, "said Oliva.
The outdoors are going to be shot in the modern part of Cuenca, not in the historic district, because the film is an urban story and the outdoors rather fit in the new part, Oliva has indicated, who has advanced the film's plot " the descent into hell of a young bourgeois".
It is the first film which would be filmed in Cuenca, stressed Oliva-former Dean of the Faculty, who has written: "Let's make use of its geography and we expect the cooperation of the city and its inhabitants with this project ".
Oliva has admitted that an independent film will have many difficulties and has reported it will have a short budget.
"It's a very low budget film, an independent film made from the formal point of view a little to the contrary to what is the current Spanish cinema," he stated.
It is based on a script "that really like the actors and very little to the producers who have been shown so far," he asserted, who has clarified that "it is a drama and comedies and the romantic stories are the kind of film that people like.
The idea is make more films, because in his view "the University of Castilla-La Mancha have sufficient means to make quality films, both technically and team equipment.
Oliva explained that it is going to be an ensemble film with a small core of players and a large gallery of supporting characters.
It is a drama with a touch of black cinema and a final thriller "that" hides more than it shows.
The film's dramatic weight will take a couple of actors: Manuela, played by Ana Otero and Daniel, played by Swiss actor Carlos Leal whose parents are Spanish.
Joining them will be other characters who embody known actors such as Angel Amoros, Oscar Salcedo, Rafael Nunez and probably Jordi Dauder. EFE rr.flc/mlr"
