"A full length film is being prepared to be shot entirely in Cuenca.
The film, which is called “Nobody´s rose”, will be performed by a team that is formed mostly by people connected with the Faculty of Fine Arts and they will use technical equipment of the University of Castilla-La Mancha, as it was explained at a press conference by the director and scriptwriter of the film, Ignacio Oliva.
It is expected that the filming will take place between the months of August and September on 2010 and the movie will performed by professional actors and new actors aged between 15 and 20, who will leave from an audition which is being done in Cuenca.
Currently, the team is working on locations, but the film would be " inside" and most of the sequences would be inside, said Oliva.
In turn, the outers will be rolled in the new part of Cuenca, not in the historic district, because the film is an urban story and the outdoors rather fit in the new part, Oliva has indicated, who has advanced the plot of the film " the descent into hell of a young bourgeois".
It is the first film that will be shot entirety in the city of Cuenca and with teams of teachers and students from the Faculty of Fine Arts, stressed Oliva, who is Teacher of Film at the university, and some years ago he was dean.
It is the first film which is filmed in Cuenca, stressed Oliva, who has noted: "we will make use of its geography and we expect the cooperation of the city and its inhabitants with this project."
Oliva has admitted that an independent film have many difficulties and has reported it will have a short budget, which currently only it has a grant from the Junta de Comunidades de Castilla-La Mancha, but are in contact with televisions and other potential sponsors to get as much funding as possible.
"It's a very low budget, an independent film made from the formal point of view a little to the contrary to what is the current Spanish cinema," he stated.
It is based on a script "that really like the actors and very little to the producers who have been shown so far," he asserted. Oliva has clarified that "is a drama and what is sold today are the comedies and the romantic stories.
According to the director to get the base to carry out the project "is the technical expertise we have here, good resources available to us and a good script and with the money we can finally get going to try to tell this story.
In this sense, he has said that the idea is made more movies, because in his view "the University of Castilla-La Mancha has sufficient means to make quality films, both technically and team equipment.
Moreover, Oliva explained that it is going to be an ensemble film with a very small core of players and a large gallery of supporting characters.
It will be a drama with a touch of black cinema and a final thriller "that" hides more than it shows.
The film's dramatic weight will take a couple of actors: Manuela which will be played by Ana Otero and Daniel played by Swiss actor Carlos Leal with Spanish parents.
Joining them will be other characters who embody known actors such as Angel Amoros, Oscar Salcedo, Rafael Nunez and probably Jordi Dauder. EFE rr/flc"
